The International Harp Museum is a Private 501(c)3 tax-exempt educational institution, which has grown from a small private collection to an internationally recognized educational organization, devoted to preserving the harp and its history. It is the only museum in the United States devoted completely to the harp, and one of only two such museums in the world.
Since its inception in 2006, the IHM has dedicated itself to collecting and preserving harps ranging from rare antiques to modern day examples; maintained an archival base of music, photos, letters, books and other historically important harp related documents and materials, presented exhibitions from local to international significance; developed first rate educational programs; presented creative and inclusive programs to reach every segment of a diverse community.
Annually, the Museum presents four concerts showcasing the talents of world class harpists, unlimited tours of its harp collection, distinguished lectures, harp appreciation lectures, studio classes, workshops, school programs, provides historical reference and information and, most importantly, acts as a valuable educational resource.
It is our mission to honor the harp and those who have played it, in its many forms, throughout the centuries, promoting education and cultural preservation of the arts for future generations of harpists, artists, craftsmen and their patrons.
It is our sincere desire that you live with music in your soul and a passion for our instrument in your heart.
The International Harp Museum is located in a charming 1920's Mediterranean villa in downtown Orlando's historic district.
